Blythe is 7 months old!!!

Blythe is 7 months already!!  She is growing up so fast!!!

What she is up to now:

-Eating baby food...not so fond of it...except bananas!!

-Has outgrown her bassinette officially (tear from Mom) & will be moving to her crib soon!  

-Sitting up with little help
-Jumps in her bouncer

-Likes to look at herself in the mirror
-Lights up when she sees Daddy!

Our weekend with the Heimers!

Some of our best friends from college stayed with us for the weekend!  It has become a tradition for them to come over state wrestling weekend, the boys go to a session of wrestling Friday night and the girls go for pedicures and manicures on Saturday.  The kids had a blast!

Dinner with Heitzman's

Taylor & Zach Heitzman are very good friends of ours and we do frequent family dinners together!  Here's the line up from last night!  We were all enjoying margaritas...nonalcoholic for the minors of course!

Thanksgiving 2015

We were iced in for Thanksgiving this past year...so Lindsay's family ventured from Grimes to Ankeny so we at least got to spend time with them!

S'mores to go!

Brian surprised me the day after Valentine's Day with a delivery from the delicious chocolate store across the street from my office, Beaverdale Confections!  A whole kit to make s'mores!!  Quite possibly my favorite treat of all time!  

Homemade marshmallows, Belgian chocolates, and waffle cone wafers!  YUM!!

Delicious!!  You may ask what the kids thought of this, 

we enjoyed this delicacy after they went to bed ;)

The Petersens have pets!

We broke down and got the only pet Dad would allow (and the only pet we have time for!) ...FISH!!!  Graham was SUPER excited!!!  Landon enjoys trying to feed them the entire can of food each time!  We have 2 beta fish named Cap (for Captain America) and Corncob.

Thanks to Brian's mom (our babysitter), we got to have Saturday night out for a date night!!  We enjoyed dinner with Brian's sister & Luke and then some sweet seats at the ISU vs. Texas basketball game!!

Donut Day

On Wednesdays, I start work a little later than the rest of the week, so Graham and I have started a tradition.  We drop off Landon and Blythe at Shelly's and then head to a donut place (of his choice...we have a few to pick from!) and get donuts and chocolate milk.  I then take him to Preschool.  This is my favorite day of the work week and I think it's Graham's favorite too!!! :)

His mouth is full of donut holes, but he was mostly excited about the "dinosaur" sprinkles on his donut!

Puzzles!

I found some puzzles that were stuffed in one of our closets (still in their packaging!), so the boys have been having fun at night working on them!!  

He is pretty darn good at puzzles!

Already decided to go back downstairs and get his booster chair out of storage...put it away a little prematurely!

We found 3 different puzzles for Landon, but the animals and trucks are his favorites the past couple nights.
