Graham is 4 months old!

Hello All,
We have had a very busy last couple of months.  Brian's mom paid us a visit in October, Graham experienced his first Halloween & Thanksgiving, and he was diagnosed with RSV the day before Thanksgiving!  We were fortunate enough to spend the holiday with Brian's grandparents, sister, mom, and Kenny.  We are counting down these last two weeks until we head north!  Here are several pictures from the last couple months to sum up Graham and how much he has grown :)

A Visit from Grandpa Petersen

Brian's dad came down to Memphis and hung out with Brian and Graham for a few days while Megan went back to work.

Well both of us are back to work and Graham has had his first 3 days at daycare!  It has been hard for Brian to drop him off in the mornings, but we know he is in good hands with Debbie.  Debbie sends us updates with pictures throughout the day, he seems to like it there and behaves for her.  We look forward to the weekends so we can spend more time with him! 

A few birthdays we'd like to announce...Marne Bormann, my sister in law had her birthday yesterday.  My mom, Brenda, will celebrate her birthday next Saturday the 24th, and Eric and Marne's youngest, Hadley, turns 1 at the end of this month on the 29th.  Marne and Mom...like how I didn't reveal your age :)  HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all of you!!

First mini-trip to Tupelo, MS

TUPELO HALF MARATHON

This past Labor Day weekend, the three of us went on a mini-trip to Tupelo, MS (birthplace of Elvis Presley) to cheer Brian on in their annual half marathon race.  The drive was only about 1 1/2 hours.  Graham pretty much slept the whole drive (thank goodness he enjoys car rides!).  He did well sleeping in the hotel, but since he was right next to our bed, Brian and I hardly got any sleep due to all his moans/groans/movements that he makes while sleeping.  We have decided that Brian will stick to local races from now on so we don't have to stay in hotels for a while.  At least until he can sleep through the night! 

Graham snuggled up on our bed with our pillows - this picture was taken about 5 minutes after we checked into our hotel room!  Precious hands!!

Brian's race started at 5:00 am!!  We were up at 3:00 am to feed Graham and get Brian ready to run!  Long Day!  Brian did a great job!

Graham was so proud of his Dad that he wanted to show off his plaque and medal!  Brian finished 2nd in his age group and finished the 14.2 miler in 1 hr 45 min!  Graham and I did not make it out on the course during the race, but we were at the finish line to cheer him on at the end!

Since I go back to work tomorrow (sad!), I have finished pumping breast milk for Graham.  We have quite the supply built up in the freezer.  My last day of pumping was Saturday afternoon, so we celebrated Saturday night with a Shock Top beer in the hotel!  I am also sporting my Roger Federer tshirt as I cheer him on in the US Open!

READY FOR FALL

Due to the hurricanes along the southeast coast, we are having some cooler weather (like much of the US) - we were able to have our windows open and Graham was finally able to show off his long sleeved football outfit.  There is another football logo on the back of his pants on one of his butt cheeks!!  He likes to watch football with Dad.  He also likes to cheer for his two uncles, Eric Bormann and Todd VanOtterloo as they coach the Algona Bulldog football team.  He is ready to cheer on ISU this upcoming weekend!  We are all 3 more than ready for Fall!!

He was so comfortable he fell asleep sitting up in the corner of the couch!

Graham is one month and rolling over!

Graham even started to roll over at 4 weeks and 1 day!  We could hardly believe our eyes!  It happened one time that night (August 31st) - we even thought maybe it was a fluke thing, but then this morning he rolled over 5 times in less than 10 minutes!  He always rolls from tummy to back and so far only goes to his left side.
