Welcome to the world, Blythe Brenlea

I have a little catching up to do!!

On July 21st we welcomed little miss Blythe Brenlea to the world and our family!  The name: Blythe (Brian found the name in a story he was reading to his class; I liked it instantly!) Brenlea (a combination of my mom's first and middle name "Brenda Lea" - someone we admire and love very much and Blythe will be proud to be named after).

She was born at 7:37am, weighed 8 pounds 7 ounces and was 19.5 inches long.

We did a "skin to skin" c-section this time.  That means that once they deliver the baby and she's stable, they place her on my chest, naked and all, before they clean her or wrap her up in blankets.  It is supposed to help regulate the baby's body temperature faster and is a great bonding time.

She is the perfect addition to this family filled with crazy boys!  :)

Our 6 weeks home together has unfortunately come to an end, she will accompany the boys to Shelly's tomorrow and I will begin work at a new office (well, new to me) in Beaverdale (more on that later!)
