Chicago Aquarium

Our last full day in Chicago was Saturday. We decided to take in the Shedd's Aquarium. The Aquarium was huge and Graham actually paid attention to all the animals. His favorite exhibit was the one was a giant turtle. Every time the turtle swam by, Graham would laugh out loud and pound on the glass! It was hilarious!! We bought him a little stuffed turtle (and named him Yertle) from the gift shop in remembrance of the trip. As soon as we walked out of the aquarium Graham passed out...seems to be a common theme this week! After the aquarium we went to a restaurant that made funny hats...Graham was a hit with all the waiters! Ever since Graham was about 5 months, we have given him water from a straw when we go out to dinner and he LOVES it!! We are on our way back to Memphis...Chicago was a blast, but we are ready for our final 27 days in Memphis :)

Swimming in the hotel

This was Graham's first time swimming with Mom and Dad. He has been in a baby pool at daycare, but never with us before. We weren't sure how he'd react, but he LOVED it! We will definitely be signing him up for swimming lessons in the future.

Cubs game today!!

Well...despite Graham only napping for a whopping 40 minutes, he was amazingly pleasant throughout the entire game. He was extremely exhausted and refused to nap during the game! There was way too much to take in for the little guy! Then on the walk out of the stadium he decided that would be a good time to fall asleep while mom carried him all over Chicago! I loved every minute of it and it's the best arm workout! Cubs lost big time, 17-1, but we had a lot of fun! Graham also experienced his first ride on the subway!

Zoo yesterday & Navy pier today!

Zoo pics are all on our actual camera so I will post those after we get home. Navy pier today was great with a boat tour of the city! We ran in to two of our favorite people...Blake and Mimi Rust!! Graham was exhausted after 4 hours outside in the sun! We are looking forward to deep dish pizza tonight and a Cubs game tomorrow!! We are on the 24th floor of our beautiful hotel! Graham LOVES to stand at the windows and look all the way down...no fear of heights yet!

Vacation!

We are on our first family vacation...Chicago! The annual American Optometric Association meeting is held there this year. We are going early to see the sights and just a couple meetings to attend while we are here. Graham is clearly very anxious in his big boy car seat! His travel buddy is Ethan Jones...He is 7 months old and his Mom, Jennifer, is one of my best buds. More pics to come...
