Last weekend!

We were very busy last weekend!  It started off with an overnight visits by some of our best friends...Jake, Kelli Jo, Thad, and Karli.  We LOVE it when our families get together :)

We then traveled North for a SURPRISE retirement party for my mom!  She taught for 40 years...yes, you read that correctly...40!!!!!!

While Brian and I enjoyed a much needed night out, Grandpa Pete got to spend some quality time with the boys!

Eric giving some opening remarks...let the roasting begin :)

Sibling picture!

Love this family!

The boys got to see Great Grandma Pete!!!

Grandpa has all the fun toys...mom is ok as long as the engine is off :)

At least he has a helmet on!

Instead of a snowmobile, Graham kept calling this a "snow cone" ;)

Buddies for life (and so are their parents!)

Potty Training Begins

Now that summer has began, we are starting to really hammer home the potty training!  Graham is excited about his chart and adding a sticker every time he goes potty in the big boy potty!  If he gets 5 stickers in a day, he gets a special treat!  Hope to keep the momentum going!

Our weekend in Minneapolis

We were in Minneapolis for about 24 hours this past weekend!  Brian had trained his tail off for the Minneapolis Marathon, and was let down when they canceled the race due to weather conditions.  We were able to meet up with some friends, Nels and Kat Paulsen.  They are expecting their first child in October!!  Yay!!

Nels and Graham gluing wood together to make a tower!

Proud of their tower :)

Deer antlers!  Silly boys!

Kat tickling Graham...he loves to be tickled!

Happy Landon!

Drawing a pretty picture to put up in the Paulsen residence.

We went to the Mall of America on Sunday with Brian's Mom and stepdad to visit the Aquarium and eat lunch at the Rainforest Cafe.  We had a great time!!

Graham worked up the courage to touch the starfish.

Amazing!

Relaxing as we made our way through the jellyfish exhibit!

Graham LOVED the aquarium!

Kenny and Landon bonding during the aquarium :)

Grandma showing Landon all the cool fish.

Sharks!

Resting for about .2 seconds!

Family Portrait through the dinosaur shark teeth!

Of course to get to the exit, you have to pass through the gift shop!  Graham said, "this shark wants to go bye bye with me!"  How could we say no?!  Then he told us that Landon said he wanted an alligator :). Too clever already!

Despite the marathon being canceled, we made the best of our weekend!  And...Brian is already signed up for another marathon and me a 10k!
