Vacation!

We are on our first family vacation...Chicago! The annual American Optometric Association meeting is held there this year. We are going early to see the sights and just a couple meetings to attend while we are here. Graham is clearly very anxious in his big boy car seat! His travel buddy is Ethan Jones...He is 7 months old and his Mom, Jennifer, is one of my best buds. More pics to come...

Hey all...

We had a great weekend! Brian ran has fastest 10k time and got 2nd overall! Megan was supposed to run the 5k while pushing Graham, but was stuck on-call and had to see a patient...Graham saw the patient too! The weather was beautiful!! Below are a few pictures post race. He looks pretty darn good in his daddy's sunglasses! With his mom being an eye doctor, we try to promote EARLY prevention of UV causing eye diseases! Haha!!

Graham is growing more and more. Brian and I were watching videos from the past 6 months, wondering where the time has gone! He is babbling and giggling all the time! Although we are quite certain that he is teething, we are still only able to see his two teeth from a few weeks ago. He will sit in the crawling stance, but has not tried crawling yet. He gets VERY excited about new toys and things. We removed his pack n play from the box tonight (finally) - making sure we knew how to set it up for this mini trip to Iowa coming up - we set him inside it and he squealed in delight the whole time! He just loves new things!

Bath night was tonight...so I got a nice shot of him reading his bath book. He really loves baths. He just kicks and splashes his feet in the water from beginning to end.

We look forward to seeing some of you while we are in Des Moines for a couple days!

Graham is 6 months old TODAY!!

 Hello family and friends!  We can't believe how quickly the time has flown - Graham is 6 months already!  Brian and I were talking last night that it seems like yesterday we were rushing to the hospital at 3:30am - we were so anxious to meet the little guy!  Now, we can hardly imagine our lives without him :)  Here are some recent pictures:

enjoying this episode of Pawn Stars with him :)

...and this is how Mom and Dad found me at midnight last night - playing in my

crib (with lots of talking and singing) - I wanted to celebrate my 6 month birthday right on time!  Mommy found me playing again this morning around 6:45am.  (At least he can entertain himself and play when he wakes up instead of crying!)

Sorry for the small pictures - if I enlarged them, they were distorted!  I think that is what happens when I use pictures from my phone and transfer them to the computer when I add them to the blog.  I hope everyone is enjoying this unseasonably warm weather!  Have a great upcoming weekend!

5 months...almost 6!!!

So Brian and I figured out how to update my blog from our phones...hopefully this will allow us to post more often :).

Tonight as I was feeding Graham dinner, I realized that the spoon kept hitting something hard...TWO TEETH!!! His bottom two front teeth must have just broke ground in the last 24 hours or less. It all makes sense now, because Graham was up a million times crying last night...not his norm at all!! Luckily we have baby orajel on hand so that was in his mouth before we put him to bed! Hopefully we all sleep a little better tonight!

Graham is moving around a lot! We can't keep him still! He rolls around from the second we set him down. We are working on sitting....he can now sit for an extended period, but is always a little unsteady. He is making progress though.

Favorite food: bananas! He loves fruit!

Least favorite: peas...he gags on them!
