18 weeks!
This is the week we find out the baby's gender!! Brian and I cannot wait for our appointment tomorrow! We will make sure to let everyone know!
Facts about the baby this week. He/she is the size of a sweet potato, weighing about 5 1/2 oz and measuring about 14 centimeters from head to rump. I can feel little movements every once in a while, but it's not often and not very strong yet.
Not much is new to inform about this week. I am going to continue posting a picture every week because my mother really likes them and wants to see me every week instead of every other week...love ya mom!!
Also, my grandma (mom's mom) passed away this afternoon. It's a blessing because now she's in a better place. She was 95 and lived a great life! She can now be with my grandpa!! Thanks for all your prayers!
Love, Megan and Brian

17 weeks
17 weeks and going strong! The baby is now the size of an onion or your palm spread open. Some interesting facts about the baby's development for the week are that he/she is now starting to store fat and his/her skeleton is hardening. The fingernails are fully formed and the baby's fingerprints and toeprints have formed!
I am doing great. I used to feel sick in the evenings, but that has started to subside! I feel great and have a lot of energy during the day. By the time the evenings come, I wiped out though!! One of the toughest adjustments I have had to make is how I sleep at night. I am used to sleeping on my back or belly and you can't do either of those at this point in the pregnancy. For the past few weeks I have had to learn to sleep on my side ALL NIGHT LONG and that has been tough. I wake up very often with a sore side and have to continue to flip over and switch sides. I know sleeping is just going to get more and more uncomfortable with the bigger I get...oh well, it's all going to be worth it :) Brian is doing well also, he has a feeling that we are having a girl and I feel like we are having a boy. We will find out next week! I think he's been having lots of restless nights also with me moving a lot! This way we are getting ready for those late night feedings with less sleep! I have been feeling little fluttering movements the past week and Brian is excited for the kicking to become stronger so he can feel it from the outside.
My 95-year old grandma (my mom's mom) is very sick and will probably not make it much longer, so this has been a very hard week for the Bormann family. If everyone could say a prayer for her, we would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!
Much love from the Petersens!!

16 weeks!!
Here was me this morning at our 16 week mark! This is my first maternity shirt and WOW I didn't know I would love maternity clothes as much as I do!!! They are tailored to fit so much better! I will probably just post a picture of me every other week from now on, since not much changes visibly from the outside from one week to the next.
Baby is the size of an Avocado this week! They also told me in my weekly email that the baby can now pick up voices from outside. He/She is growing eyebrows, lashes, and hair. Taste buds are also forming. Crazy!!
Everything is going well with me. I feel great all day long until about 8:00, then I have a belly ache that lasts until I wake up in the morning. I am just thankful that I have not thrown up and that I feel really good for the majority of the day! Brian is doing well also! He likes to see my belly get bigger! Our next dr. appt. is March 2nd, so we are really looking forward to that!! At that appointment we have another ultrasound and they will be able to tell us the sex of the baby! Woohoo!
We were lucky to have some visitors this weekend!!! Lin and Adam drove down here and were with us Friday morning through Sunday afternoon! We had a blast and now I'm going through sister withdrawals! Everywhere we went people asked us if we were twins and then which one was older. This was the first time people asked which was older! It was fun!! Some people even asked if our husbands were twins...ha! We had a great weekend!
